REPAIR print 8x10

$25.00

This is a digital reproduction of an original illustration I did using graphite and watercolor pencils. Printed on crisp, firm 100 lb card stock measuring approximately 8”x10". All prints are packaged with a clear plastic sheath and a thick mat board backing for protection.

This is an image from the project for the 2021 Calendar: Practicing a World Beyond White Supremacy Culture

I created the artwork for this calendar with the intention to explore and practice antidotes that Tema Okun writes about in “Characteristics of White Supremacy Culture”

Unlearning
perfectionism.
Do you feel like everything is better if you just do it yourself? Do you have a harsh inner critic? Would you rather be silent than say the wrong thing? There are lessons in the mistakes. We all make mistakes constantly, but discussing the inherent lessons, or practicing repair for damage done, is rarely shared with a constructive frame. Most often mistakes are shamed and the individual is left alone where they may believe
they are the mistake instead of their behavior. This is a disservice to our potential because we lose valuable information about how to grow and heal and practice with a support system! The more reflection and repair are practiced, the more we will have examples to work from and improve upon.
